A drivable go-kart vehicle made specifically for the Source game Garrysmod! Available as a Workshop addon, and fully functional! Ingame, it is fully animated and has a colour mask, so it can be tinted to any colour. It also comes with a Bodygroup of a Glider, that will be utilized in an upcoming Kart racing gamemode. This model was Commissioned for a Gmod gamemode that will be released in the future! By importing a default gmod character model, and applying the “driving” animation, i was possible to model the vehicle directly to fit the player models, allowing it to work surprisingly well with the default animations. The seating position was modified by tilting it backwards by about 12 degrees, allowing an overall lower profile, a little hack I was very glad to see working! Somewhat unrealistic for a kart to have full suspension, but was needed to fit the Source vehicle animations. And yes, it’s electric! An update of my old low poly TIE fighter model, with windows cut in and a low poly interior, complete with pilot, added- adds a ton of depth and realism. None of it is meant to hold up in closeups, but it looks great from afar. The whole thing is ~5.5k tris, so if you want a hangar full or a fleet of them, it won’t slow down your scene. Perfect for all your imperial needs! PBR textures made in Substance Painter. The exterior is 2k, the interior is 1k, the pilot is 512x512. Cutting in the windows a couple years after the outside model was done made for some very messy topology around them, but the overall ship is still low poly enough, and no one will notice. The glass is also currently single-sided, just to be more performant than trying to have glass with thickness and refraction.
