Here is one of my game ready character models completed for a module during my 3rd year at Staffordshire University. I have used 3 x 2048 maps. 1 for the Body, 1 for the Clothes and Rope, 1 for the Accessories and Peg Legs. The final tri count combined is 39,995. The rigging and posing was created by me.
This project was completed for my final year project at university. The final year project is slightly different in the duration as the project starts in semester 1 and continues through till the end of semester 2. For the redesign I wanted it to be something that could have easily fit within the game itself. After researching deeper into the character, I found that he was in the game initially and then removed for a period. After this period, he was bought back with a whole new purpose and look, as of this I saw an opportunity to create a new design. A building built by the Romans during their occupation of Britain (43 - 410 CE) - typical of a town house in Londinium (Roman London) - established in 47 - 50 CE. The house would have been abandoned when the Romans left Britain and would have started to fall into disrepair but may have become occupied by early Anglo Saxons in the 5th or 6th Century.
