It is a ship whose character corresponds to what is known as a pleasure yacht in the West. Those for rivers are also called river gozabune, and those for the sea are also called umigozabune.

This particular set of two-piece cuirass (nimai-do gosoku) armour is of exceptionally high quality. During the Edo period (1615-1868) the Tokugawa shogunate enacted a four-class system. The warrior class was the hegemonic group, and armour and other related items were displayed to demonstrate their power and prestige.
Armour during the Heian, Kamakura, Muromachi, and Momoyama periods was utilitarian, meant to protect its wearer from injury in battle. Japanese medieval warfare often involved a series of duels where combatants would call out their lineage and rank, offer a challenge and then agree or decline to fight. In this situation the identity of the combatants would be clear. Maple Samurai. Created for Feudal Japan challenge on ArtStation. 99895 triangles. Four 2k texture sets. The character is not based on any concept. The plan was to create the most realistic samurai armor I could in a given time. Hope I succeeded. Initially I’ve also wanted to include an environment which tells a small story abut his connection to a maple tree but had no time to create it during the contest.
