The DDA40X is a 6,600 horsepower (4.92 megawatts) D-D diesel-electric built by the General Motors EMD division of La Grange, Illinois for the Union Pacific Railroad. Nicknamed “Centennials” because they were built around the 100th anniversary of the completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad, and “Big Jack”, the DDA40X uses two diesel engine prime movers, each rated at 3,300 horsepower (2.46 megawatts). The DDA40X is the most powerful single-unit diesel-electric locomotive ever built, although more recent designs such as the GE AC6000CW and EMD SD90MAC have come close. It is the third most powerful internal-combustion locomotive ever built, exceeded only by the Russian Railways GT1 and Union Pacific GTEL gas turbine units and certain steam locomotives. It is also the longest single-unit diesel locomotive to ever be built 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 40322 polygons.

The Canadian Pacific GP9, originally delivered in 1953, was recently retired. The various engines had gone through many modifications in between, finally arriving at something looking much like what I’ve built here. This is my tribute to EMD’s venerable road switcher, a 200,000 poly amalgam of various features of the class. This aligns roughly to what CP called a ‘DRS-17.’ It’s a switcher capable of carrying loads on the mainline 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 190008 polygons.

The Baldwin DT-6-6-2000 (Also referred to as the Baldwin DT6-6-2000) was a twin-engined diesel-electric transfer locomotive, built by Baldwin Locomotive Works
A single prototype using a pair of 8 cylinder nominally aspirated 608NA prime movers (engines) was built in 1946 for the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway. Forty-five further locomotives were built using 6-cylinder turbocharged 606SC prime movers during 1948–1950.
The DT-6-6-2000 was most popular with the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway, who purchased 27 of the 46 locomotives produced. Between 1956 and 1962, all but two of these locomotives underwent a significant rebuilding program. Several locomotives were rebuilt by the EJ&E at their Joliet shops and equipped with 1200hp Baldwin 606A engines. The rest were sent to the EMD facility in La Grange, Illinois, where they were rebuilt and equipped with modified SW series hoods, 1200hp EMD 567C engines, and new control stands, as well as multiple-unit train control capability 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 54470 polygons.

CC50 steam locomotive is the sixth generation Mallet type locomotive operating in Indonesia. This locomotive was purchased by the Staats Spoorwegen (SS) railway company of 30 from two different factories. 14 CC50 locomotives purchased from Werkspoor (Dutch) and 16 CC50 locomotives purchased from SLM / Schweizerische Lokomotiv und Maschinenfabrik Winterthur (Switzerland) factory. CC50 locomotive was imported in 1927 - 1928.
Of the 30 CC50 locomotives, currently 3 units are CC50 01, CC50 22 and CC50 29 locomotives. CC50 01 locomotive is on display at Museum Transportasi, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Jakarta). CC50 22 locomotive is on display at Utrecht Museum (Netherlands). CC50 locomotive 29 is on display at Ambarawa Museum (Central Java).

When British Railways starting to withdraw their age old steam locomotives from regular use, some of them either ended up for scrap or find their way for further use like in the industries. London Transport has bought 13 of the withdrawn ex-GWR 57xx for their engineering and ballast trains, with the last three engines of this class remained in service until the early 1970s!
Number 5775 (L.89) was withdrawn from LT in 1969 and sold to Keighley & Worth Valley Railway where she later starred in a film, The Railway Children (1970).

A highly complex model of a old western steam train. This particular one was mining coal! This is perfectly suitable for use in games as well as renders.
They used these steam locomotives way back in the old western days of the cowboys. These are very complicated mechanical machines and are pretty much a miracle with the fact that they even work! - Steam Locomotive - Buy Royalty Free 3D model by Harold P. de Boer (@Harold1995) 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 356655 polygons.

The Great Western Railway 4900 Class or Hall Class is a class of 4-6-0 mixed-traffic steam locomotives designed by Charles Collett for the Great Western Railway. A total of 259 were built at Swindon Works, numbered 4900–4999, 5900–5999 and 6900–6958. The LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 and LNER Thompson Class B1 both drew heavily on design features of the Hall Class. After nationalisation in 1948, British Railways gave them the power classification 5MT 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 492873 polygons.

Mallard is the holder of the world speed record for steam locomotives at 126 mph (203 km/h) on 3 July 1938. The A4 class was designed by Nigel Gresley to power high-speed streamlined trains. The wind-tunnel-tested, aerodynamic body and high power allowed the class to reach speeds of over 100 miles per hour (160 km/h), although in everyday service it rarely attained this speed. While in British Railways days regular steam-hauled rail services in the UK were officially limited to a 90 mph ‘line speed’, pre-war, the A4s had to run significantly above 90 mph just to keep schedule on trains such as the Silver Jubilee and The Coronation, with the engines reaching 100 mph on many occasions. Mallard covered almost one and a half million miles (2.4 million km) before it was retired in 1963 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 88014 polygons.
