FULL BREAKDOWN “The ancient blacksmiths forged great armors from the souls of sealed demons and the bones of fallen dragons. In dark rituals this armor is bestowed and fused to an innocent and pure unnoble sacrafice. The treated metal corruptes its victims over time into demigods of incredible magnitude with an insatiable hunger for conquest” This is a model I made for fun and for a portfolio piece. I wanted to push skills, push design, try some new game modeling techniques I had been testing, and to express the glamour of dark temptations. Modeled in Zbrush R7, painted in Substance Painter 2 and Zbrush, UV’d in Haitius UV Layout, presented using Sketchfab’s awsome portable engine. Hard surface project I did from a concept of Sheng Lam. In this project, I tried to make the result to be as close as possible as the concept and the most realistic possible as well. For the parts that are not in the concept, I tried to match the general style of the whole with details that still are hard surface and color matching with the drawing. The walkman is 33k polys and the tapes are 17k polys (3 to 5k polys each) for a total of 55k polys. L’hôtel du Lac est un ancien hôtel de style brutaliste construit entre 1970 et 1973 selon les plans de l’architecte italien Raffaele Contigiani.
