Hello everyone,
This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing. Deep within the jungles of Azeroth, lives the animal called the Dozer. This drowsy creature is revered by druids for their ability to remain in the Emerald Dream even while in the heat battle. However, some speculate they are instead druids, who have followed the path of the Sloth and have become to lazy to revert back to their original forms.
In this project I wanted to make a creature and mount that could exist in the universe of World of Warcraft. I wanted to be as accurate to in game models and aimed have it share the same poly count as well as texture resolution as models in game. I was inspired to make this based on Ashleigh Warner’s creation of the pet, “Daisy the Sloth”.
