  The Skyrim Dragon 3D Model 2023-11-06
The original model from the game! This was the first dragon ever made for Skyrim, and it took me three months to make (what with all the back-and-forth with programming, art and design). All the variants - the Blood Dragons, the Ancient Dragons, etc - came later, and were all texture variants of this one, with low-poly mesh changes to the mesh. As with all things art, there are elements of this guy I wish I could change, but ultimately I love this dude and I'm proud of him. I first had to draw the character in good reference poses and then went on to sculpt him in Zbrush, after that I did the retopo in 3DsMAx amd finally added the textures with substance painter.
