Sulfur is a chemical element, which at room temperature it is a yellow crystalline solid. Even though it is insoluble in water, it is one of the most versatile elements at forming compounds. Sulfur is abundant and occurs throughout the Universe, but it is rarely found in a pure, uncombined form at Earth's surface. As an element, sulfur is an important constituent of sulfate and sulfide minerals. It occurs in the dissolved ions of many waters. It is an important constituent of many atmospheric, subsurface, and dissolved gases. It is an essential element in all living things and is in the organic molecules of all fossil fuels. As a mineral, sulfur is a bright yellow crystalline material. It forms near volcanic vents and fumaroles, where it sublimates from a stream of hot gases. Small amounts of native sulfur also form during the weathering of sulfate and sulfide minerals. https://www.mindat.org/min-3826.html https://geology.com/minerals/sulfur.shtml - Sulfur - Download Free 3D model by EDUROCK – EDUCATIONAL VIRTUAL ROCK COLLECTION (@EDUROCK_AALTO) 3D Model is ready to download for free

Locality: Zhezqazghan, Kazakhstan
No.: 5642
Size: 12 cm x 10 cm x 6 cm
Formula: Cu5(PO4)2(OH)4
Description: Pseudomalachite is an emerald green to dark green and blackish-green, monoclinic mineral consisting of a hydrated basic copper phosphate. It is also known as tagilite. Pseudomalachite is found in oxidized zones of copper deposits. This sample comes with radial fibrous and concentric inner structure, and reniform/botryoidal surface.
The name Pseudomalachite comes from the Greek for “false” and “malachite”, because of its similarity in appearance to the carbonate mineral malachite.

Locality: Ural Mts., Russia
No.: 5847
Size: 4.8 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm
Formula: Be3Al2(Si6O18)
Description: This is a distinctive, green, doubly terminated emerald crystal from Urals, Russia. The crystal has good color saturation. Emerald, the green variety of Beryl, is the most famous and valuable green gemstone. Its beautiful green color, combined with durability and rarity, make it one of the most expensive gemstones. Deep green is the most desired color in Emeralds. In general the paler the color of an Emerald, the lesser its value. Emerald is a gemstone and a variety of the mineral Beryl colored green by trace amounts of chromium and sometimes vanadium.
