Glomerulus Anatomy
The glomerulus is a tiny, ball-shaped cluster of blood vessels located within the kidney’s nephron, playing a crucial role in filtering blood to remove waste and excess substances. Its unique structure, consisting of a network of capillaries encased in a capsule-like structure called Bowman’s capsule, allows for the selective filtration of blood components into the urine while retaining essential molecules in the bloodstream.

Description: This model represents a floater specimen with stacked blocky Vanadinite crystals (short-prismatic hexagonal crystals). The cluster is nearly equant (1 cm across), doubly-terminated, adamantine luster, and reddish to deep-orange in color. The prismatic faces are incredibly lustrous while the basal faces are a little less so.
Vanadinite is an important ore of vanadium (V) and a minor source of the lead (Pb). Vanadinite usually forms where lead minerals are oxidized (as secondary mineral), often in areas with an arid climate. It is commonly associated with the oxidation of galena.
