The cluster is nearly equant (1 cm across), doubly-terminated, adamantine luster, and reddish to deep-orange in color. The prismatic faces are incredibly lustrous while the basal faces are a little less so. Vanadinite is an important ore of vanadium (V) and a minor source of the lead (Pb). Vanadinite usually forms where lead minerals are oxidized (as secondary mineral), often in areas with an arid climate. It is commonly associated with the oxidation of galena. Hydrothermal vents are commonly found near volcanically active places, areas where tectonic plates are moving apart, ocean basins, and hotspots.
Hydrothermal vents are common on earth because it is both geologically active and has large amounts of water on its surface and within its crust. Common land types include hot springs, fumaroles and geysers.
Can be used perfectly as atmospheric back-and-foreground models for deep sea 3d environments. Works also very well with kitbashing techniques
