The harquebusier was the most common form of cavalry found throughout Western Europe during the early to mid-17th century. Early harquebusiers were characterised by the use of a type of carbine called a “harquebus". In England, harquebusier was the technical name for this type of cavalry, though in everyday usage they were usually simply called ‘cavalry' or ‘horse'. In Germany they were often termed Ringerpferd, or sometimes Reiter, in Sweden they were called lätta ryttare. The armour comprises a Pot Helmet with two-piece skull joined by a low-comb, neck-guard (Lobster tail) of simulated lames and pointed peak or visor with three-bar guard hinged at each side to allow it to be raised when not needed. At each side are the cheek pieces for protection, hinged by means of leather strips. These are Illyrian helmets, which are noticeable for having accute cheekguards and an overall shape that nearly covers all of the head. Additionally, there’s the detail of the helmet always being open in the front.

The creative process is as follows:
- a low poly model is made.
- a copy from the low poly is made and made high poly, via a subdivision modifier and a multi-res (not applied), which brings the mesh to over 10 million vertices. This is to ensure detail precision.
- Details are sculpted onto the high poly mesh
- Detail work is baked from high to low poly mesh
- Any colour work is done in texturepaint.
Some minor steps have been learned since the previous upload, namely the simple addition of SubD mod to the high poly mesh before working with the multires, or sculpting metal roughness to give the model more character 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 2756 polygons.
