After learning so much from my Placement at Brain & Nerd, I wanted to have a bit of fun and make a handheld radio. Always wanted to make one of these with my own twist to them. I have always loved the combination of modern and vintage tech, so with this one, I wanted to do the same. Mesh was made in Blender and textured within Substance Painter! With this project I tried to experiment a new workflow. I created my own alphas in maya to create a new brush in Zbrush. It allowed me to put a lot of small details on my helmet. I still wanted to retopo my model in order for it to be real time rendered. The final lowpoly model has exactly 20K tris, and has a single 2K textures
