In Japan, these two fish symbolize fortune (the Japanese term for joyous occasions is omede-tai). Ebisu is also depicted wearing a pointed hat (Kazaori Eboshi 風折烏帽子) folded in the middle, which was worn by courtiers of the imperial court in olden times. Project “Gipsy Danger” from the famous movie and anime franchise was one of my final year projects in uni, where we were told to select any Mecha character to our liking and then try to recreate as closest possible to the actual reference. The whole model was created from scratch from the model itself to the texture.
