Asset modeled in Blender, baked in Marmoset Toolbag 4, and textured in Quixel Mixer. Made with 4K texture maps (Albedo, AO, Metalness, Roughness, Normal). Model is composed of 432,368 tris. The goal of this model was to practice using marmoset and quixel to make an asset similiar to one existing in a game to test my abilities, i chose to model the drilldozer (doretta) from Deep Rock Galactic. The game has a low-poly aesthetic and i wanted to try to make a more photoreal version and had to make some adjustments to the design to fit the change. In my model exists some minor errors due to my current knowledge of Marmoset and Quixel and i have noted down the issues and plan to learn more about these softwares to avoid these issues in my future models 3D Model is ready to download for free

More organic practice, I originally thought this was gonna be difficult, but I ended up really enjoying it? Anyway, I should probably consider trying to work on something with more of a body, haha. Anyhoo, it’s a cacodemon from good old doom, I have a lot of nostalgia for that title, and all its sprites.

I modelled these for a game project at school in spring 2020. Everything is low poly. The project lasted for a few months so I had a lot of time to make mine related assets. My group had many people so I didn’t always texture my models. The minecart, rails, small rocks, doorway, lantern and dynamites were not textured by me so I didn’t include their textures here.
