Printing Press, the best invention ever in the history. Invented in the Holy Roman Empire by german Johannes Gutenberg around 1440, based on existing screw presses. The arrival of mechanical movable type printing introduced the era of mass communication, which permanently altered the structure of society. The printing press could print 1000’s of pages per day versus only 40-50 pages with the old method. This was a dramatic improvement and allowed books to be acquired by the middle class for the first time in the history of Europe. Knowledge and education spread throughout the continent like never before.
Update: The 1st Printing Press was made in Blender 2.78, so I’ve updated to the version 2.93, and fixed some issues: The downloadable file has both .BLEND and .FBX formats. I’ve updated the number of bones. The miniature has a ≃50mm (2 inches) base and ≃85mm (3.3 inches) height. It comes in two versions with/without supports. Lychee files are included. Miniature was test printed with Anycubic Photon.
This version of the 3d printable miniature comes in 4 parts head, cape, body and base. Some sanding will be required in order head, cape and body to fit perfectly.
There is also another version for 3d printing which is the werewolf witout cape. That one comes in 2 parts, character and base.

Got together with a bunch of my buddies one morning and we all took tons of photos (1780) while another friend flew a drone over and around the arch to get the above photos (another 1739).
Here’s a screengrab that shows all the camera angles we captured, including the drone shots:
The arch is over 24 meters (80 feet) tall and it’s right in the middle of a high traffic intersection, so it presents many challenges, and I’m not even talking about all the trees around it.
It’s my first large-scale scan and I hit so many walls with getting it to come out well, largely because ZBrush has a 50 million polygon limit. Anyway, this is the first of many.
