This pair of mosaic fountains are to be found in the Casa del Triclinio Estivo (II.9.5-II.9.7). They were scanned as part of the 2022 Pompeii Water and Sanitation Project field school run by the University of Missouri. Both fountains are placed in front of an outdoor triclinium and, unusually, are fed by a pair of tanks above the fountain instead of the city aqueduct. This is a 3D model of a cast of the Terme Ruler, an ancient bronze statue in the Museo Nazionale Palazzo Massimo in Rome. The cast is made of plaster and is in Statens Musueum for Kunst in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Terme Ruler depicts a man with a disproportionately muscular body, especially when compared to its more modestly shaped head. Estimations date this statue to near the 2nd century BCE, comparing it to the Terme Boxer, particularly in hair style.
