Ive been fascinated by classic touring and DTM racecars. They were extreme adaptaions from the original road cars with all the crazy areodynamics and other trimmings. BMW was my personal favourite with thier racecars having the biggest body kits and loudest engines. However, BMW focused on using the 3 series for most of its racing series but, what if they raced with a big grand tourer with a massive v12? I am a huge fan of the old GTs and Prototype cars that raced at Le Mans between the 1960s and 1970s, and this project was inspired by that. This is my most detailed personal project so far.

This concept incorporates all that I love about Formula 1 cars. A muscular chassis, bold apperance and a lot of features that cater to my personal taste. The concept incorporates parts of the 2007/08 cars aesthetics while its proportions are oriented along the lines of the cars from 2017 onwards. The cars front is slightly exaggerated to pull visual focus towards the bulky forms. Wings and winglets across the chassis have a modern, almost futuristic, form-language.
The concept itself was spatially sketched with Blenders amazing Grease-Pencil. The modeling was also done in Blender “atop” the sketch.
All in all a joyful experience to create my first F1 freeform concept.

Therefore, I decided to make a prototype for asphalt ring roads. The car has developed aerodynamics and a good power-to-weight ratio, so the speed should be good. When creating this project, I was inspired by advanced solutions in the creation of racing cars from leading auto manufacturers such as McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche and others.
This is the first 3D model of the car in May and the first project of this level of complexity, but I liked it, I will improve further in this direction.
