Yurt is a round-shaped, sophisticated construction with a dome. If explain its structure in simple words, it consists of three main parts and many other smaller parts. Three main parts include Shanyrak – top of the Yurt, Kerege – walls carcass and Uwyk – a carcass part from Kerege to the Shanyrak. The carcass is usually covered with pieces of felt from outside and decorated with carpets from inside. This landscape was made entirely in VR with Gravity Sketch for a tutorial on my channel. It utilizes an original workflow of mine where I use Gravity Sketches volume brush to create convex shapes that can easily be converted into clean geometry with booleans.
Each material can inherently share the same gradient texture as well, but to make it presentable in Sketchfab I have baked a unique color into each material’s gradient. This model also works extremely well with decimation, and can still retain it’s form when decimated by 99%. So it’s not your standard model, but with some tweaking there’s a lot you can do with it :)
