The sella, equivalent to our stool or footstool, or even a low chair, was the most common type of seat during the Roman period, probably because of the ease with which it could be carried from one place to another. Were used both by slaves and by the emperor himself, although those of the lower classes were surely much simpler, while wealthy people had access to precious woods. The folding chair (sella curulis) was an important sign of power in Roman times. There were seals with or without a backrest, which folded like scissors, like modern camping chairs, for easy portability. Modeled in Blender with PBR texture (Diffuse/Metallic/Roughness/Normal openGL) in Substance Painter at 4k, 2k, 1k resolution. Different LOD implementations. The 3D model presents a digital look of a historical costume from a Russian lubok print “A dwarf and a dwarfess” dating to the 18th century. The costume was made for a theatrical performance «Indecent is decent» (Ivanovo State Museum of Local History named after D.G. Burylin, October 30, 2019 – March 1, 2020). The 3D reconstruction was made by using historical block patterns, 2D scans of textile materials and 3d scans of contemporary actors. Anthroscan, Clo3D, SubstancePainter and Unreal Engine 4 software programs were used.
