This time I wanted to make something from an actual concept instead of a real object. I took a lot of inspiration from the modeling and texturing techniques of games like Fortnite, Overwatch and other stylized game. I'd say stylized is not my strength, but I wanted to try it! I also managed to rig it and try animating for the first time to give it some spice! I'm very happy with how it came out at the end, knowing I can constantly improve on essential aspects such as texturing and modeling. Excited about the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition? Well, I am for sure, so I had to make some fanarts to ease the hype!! Here is a recreation of the new Monado design shown in on of the latest trailers for the Future Connected epilogue. I only had the trailer as reference, so I had to use a bit of imagination for some pieces and proportions, and for the open/close mechanism too!
This was a very exciting hard-surface project, and I loved working on it. Stay tunned for more fanarts coming in the future!
