This character was based off of a concept drawing by Jelle Gijsberts as well as a tutorial by user Zachary1999. I approached the model using some of my own modeling techniques in blender, unwrapping in blender, and texturing using Substance Painter. The Idle animation was done via Mixamo. This is a vintage sewing machine from 1960s standing at my living room. My grandma sewed clothes on it, and it is still working!
I like the complexicity of its materials and great design of shapes that reminds of old 60s cars.
Full scene contains 10.5k triangles and the machine has two texture sets of 4k and 2k PBR maps. As game asset it can be more optimised, but I wanted to give it more detailed look and to practice on complex surfaces, like grainy paint.
