From its description on artsmia.org: ‘Reportedly found at the ancient trading center of Bamiyan in present-day Afghanistan, this type of dish, with incised design (Sgraffito) and “splashed” with glazes intended to run freely during the firing process became popular in eastern Iran during the Samanid dynasty (819-1005CE). This model was scanned and produced with a research process that captures surface texture and specularity more accurately - the research is led by Michael Tetzlaff, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, as part of a research effort that began when Michael was a doctoral student in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota. The work is now supported by an NEH grant, and the grant team includes UW-Stout, Cultural Heritage Imaging, and Mia.

La catedral de León fue diseñada sin claustro, pero finalmente se levantó entre finales del siglo xiii y principios del siglo xiv. Esta construcción cubrió la entrada norte que, desde entonces, quedó resguardada. Este claustro tiene una planta cuadrada de 30 metros de lado, posee seis intercolumnios por lado y 24 pilares en total, respondiendo a las proporciones establecidas en los claustros cistercienses. A su alrededor se agrupan diversas dependencias, entre ellas, el actual Museo Catedralicio.
