This is an M14 Battle rifle that has been converted to a prototype hybrid tech weapon. This was part of a series of weapons designed as part of a covert US military project that began in the mid 1960s. [REDACTED]. Project ATIW (Advanced Technologies Infantry Weapon). This particular prototype explored the idea of using chemical propellants and electromagnetism in tandem to fire the projectiles. The core of this weapon system operates mostly like a standard M14(without full automatic capability). Once the projectile is fired, a series of high powered electromagnetic coils further accelerates the projectile before it exits the barrel. A 3d model based on a museum example of a sten like submachinegun in the Polish military museum in Warsaw, the submachinegun or “SMG” was made by Edward Sitek a member of the Polish resistance during the Nazi occupation of Poland in ww2 most likely by hand and out of scrap metal with minimal tools.
The design of the submachinegun is most likely based on the famous British Sten gun mixed with the Polish Mors smg, there is also from the looks of it some Russian ppsh 41 influence of the gun as the what could be a safety, fire selector or both look fairly similar to the ppsh 41s fire selector.
