We created this scene as a collaborative project of us seven students. The initial idea was a pirate black market in a hidden cave however out of lack of time we changed the setting to a simple island. My entry for the ‘ Low Poly Fantasy Island - Sketchfab January 2021 Challenge ‘
Used Blender mostly. Zbrush for modelling some details into the models. And because it had to come under 50k, I used the details of the models as Normals with the help of Substance Painter. All the models were textured in Substance Painter. Clouds would have looked better if Sketchfab had Volume Shader; but this [Dithered Opacity] came out to be fine too, I would say 😅.

The combined lighthouse and windmill provides the Lighthouse Keeper with an excellent view of the surrounding reef, unfortunately it lighthouse no longer works as intended, meaning there have been a few… mishaps over the years. Though we are assured that it certainly wasn’t the Keeper’s intention! The crows nest provides a convenient way to cut across to get those fresh seagull eggs in the morning, and the diving platform provides a nice way to keep entertained through those hot summer days.
There’s plenty to do and see - a fishing platform, covered to keep you protected from the midday sun, the odd wreck and legend has it there’s a treasure chest that’s been pulled on shore!
