A little side project I have been working on just in time for Halloween! A great horned owl captured and recreated in RealityCapture. Post-processing and reconstruction done in Blender, Photoshop, and MeshLab. There was actually a ton of detail that was contained in the original model that unfortunately does not really come through when decimated. This particular replica of T-REX’s skeleton is on display in Knuthenborg Safaripark, Denmark.
The photogrammetric capture has been done spontaneously, as a part of recreational visit to the park.
Due to other participants of the visit not ‘feeling for’ photogrammetric capture, it had to be done extra-fast, resulting in a single ‘loop’ of photographs.
