My final entry for the ‘Lights, Camera, Immersion!’ community contest. Not sure if this is animated or static, I was trying to go for a “looping Idle” sort of motion so you can really soak in the feeling of screaming across the desert in a podracer, rather than a specific segment of the story. One major focus was getting this optimized to work on mobile VR, and I think I’ve done that reasonably well. I learned a lot in the process in regards to zBrush and polishing my Handpainted skills when its about metal and cloth. But I also realised that I end up changing things up a lot in the final stage, which means I still rely a lot on my handpainting!
