I’ve been working on this project since mid January now and it’s finally finished! Everything is modelled in Blender and the textures are painted in Photoshop. Diffuse and Alpha maps only.
I thought I would create a scene with a small story behind it.
The mysterious tiny wizard was experimenting with his rare mandrake Root and home grown crystals. He found an old recepice on how to create a special magic potion with the ancient root. By trying it out, he mixes the wrong ingredients together, which turns out to be a magic spell for opening portals. This is my improved environment from a previous compulsory. I was originally going to use normal maps tht I made in 3DCoat, but they looked awful on the towers that I instead went for a less detailed approach, with larger focus on colour.
The rings and moon are all animated to be slowly floating up and down, in 3 different speeds (they also glow). The large creature that pierces through many of the spiral clouds, is a mix between a Furby (spesifically the Long Furby meme) and the length of an asian dragon.
