A figurine model of the Monumen Nasional (Monas), a large obelisk located in the center of Jakarta, Indonesia. Stylized lightly with aesthetics in mind, as such the dimensions/ratios don't really conform to the actual monument. Partially inspired by the Civilization 6 artstyle (though I did not nail it exactly). Was created as a test of my modelling/texturing abilities, I'm quite happy with the outcome, while it did not precisely adhere to the idea I had in mind, it was quite good regardless. The original art is made by Peet Cooper.
As I saw I thought “this would be nice to be turned into a 3D model. So I started working on it. The funny thing is that as I finished modeling it, I realized that MANY other people had done that before. Many high poly versions of that conceptwere linked to the pincture, but I hadn’t seen them before. Anyway I decided to finish it as I really lik the style. So I really hope you guys like it even if you knew some of the other 3D models based on this concept.
I really enjoyed the process and learn some things.
