I modeled this Rolling Gate to be use in any exterior scene, game, render composition. At this time several large blocks from the upper courses of the Western High Gate were intentionally toppled and subsequently buried under rubble and debris. This digital reconstruction depicts an early medieval brooch found in 2022 by a metal detectorist in Wiltshire - United Kingdom. The brooch was made using a coin (penny) dating to the early 1050s CE during the reign of Edward the Confessor (1042-1066).
Interestingly it was the reverse side of the coin that was displayed when the brooch was worn - presumably because it had crosses on it and as such was a form of religious badge.
