Another scan of a rock I found on the beach in Thassos, Greece. At first I tought it was either a meteorite or a volcanic rock, as it is very dense, and slightly magnetic. Turns out it's just a piece of slug, from a nearby medieval copper mine. Still a beautiful specimen. What you see here is just for fun. I have posted another model, with proper realistic maps. Can be used as a prop, although it is fairly high poly. Files are not packed into zip file, due to size limitation for free users. My submission for a past Sketchwars theme: redo a classic…
My thought is that something went astray with the Thunderbird between 1963 and 1967. My 3D sketch is a proposal for a different aesthetic bridge between the lovely 1963 body style and the somewhat radical departure of 1967. This took 4 hours to do, completely done in 3D while immersed in VR using Gravity Sketch. I had 2D reference pictures in the scene, but all the ideation of the forms was done in 3D.
This is a non-traditional medium (skipping 2D) so I did a bunch of tweaking with post process effects to give it a more grainy textured paper/punchy colors/rendered look … minus the dabs of white gouache for highlights!
