This is just a fun model I made to practice my skills. The whip cream was something new for me. I made it using converted bezier curves in blender. It added quite a lot of polys but it looks good! I haven’t tried to tackle the caramel yet. I think the easiest way to do it would be a freeze frame of a fluid simulation, but I have never done anything like that before, so I’m leaving it for another time. I didn’t spend hardly anytime texturing so feel free to download, edit and use how you like. If you end up adding the caramel please let me know how you achieved it. I had the privilege to work with the super chill and talented teammate, Gabriel Eekenulv, Skyblivion’s Concept Art Lead. Together we produced this grand and regal set of armor. As a historical arms and armor enthusiast, I often time find it difficult to work with many fantasy concept arts. Most designs sacrifice basic understanding and practicality for “cool” aesthetics which make no sense. When I came across Eekenulv’s armor designs, however, I was in awe. His designs are grand, elegant, and “cool”, yet they maintain insights and functionality of armors, a perfect balance between “Realism” and “Suspension of Disbelieve”.
This was one of the most fun project I’ve produced in collaboration with others. Not to mention my Twitch subscribers who took part in submitting poleaxe designs, which eventually developed into the one you see.
