The Fokker D.VII was a German World War I fighter aircraft designed by Reinhold Platz of the Fokker-Flugzeugwerke. Germany produced around 3,300 D.VII aircraft in the second half of 1918. In service with the Luftstreitkräfte, the D.VII quickly proved itself to be a formidable aircraft. This was a dieselpunk inspired bi-plane I created for a game concept/prototype a few years back.
It started out as a low poly model but was never finished. To finally finish it I decided to add lots of new detail as well as completely re-texture it, adding additional maps that our game engine didn’t support at the time (like normal maps).
It includes a fully modelled cockpit (which would have been interactive had the game ever been made), and a detailed rotary engine; both of which have their own set of texture maps so will be easy to reuse in other projects.
Included in the optional download are all uncompressed texture maps in PNG format (diffuse, AO, roughness, metallic, and normal), as well as quadrangular and triangulated versions of the mesh.

An update of my old low poly TIE fighter model, with windows cut in and a low poly interior, complete with pilot, added- adds a ton of depth and realism. None of it is meant to hold up in closeups, but it looks great from afar. The whole thing is ~5.5k tris, so if you want a hangar full or a fleet of them, it won’t slow down your scene. Perfect for all your imperial needs!
PBR textures made in Substance Painter. The exterior is 2k, the interior is 1k, the pilot is 512x512.
Cutting in the windows a couple years after the outside model was done made for some very messy topology around them, but the overall ship is still low poly enough, and no one will notice. The glass is also currently single-sided, just to be more performant than trying to have glass with thickness and refraction.
