It’s been quite a while, hope you’re doing well :) .
I made this project on my spare time during 1 week for a challenge organized by Stylized Station.
Modelisation with Blender ( except the Volcano, made with ZBrush / Blender ) and texturing with Substance Painter.
You can see this planet like a secondary level you could have in Super Mario Galaxy, where there’s no monsters or goals but only signs explaining you some facts about the Earth.

This was my summer project before starting second year at DMU Game Art, although due to some module mix up, I spent about 3 weeks revisiting it on and off. The brief was to make a 10m x 10m realistic-style castaway island, using substance painter to texture. I originally planned to do a pirate-themed island and made extra props, but realised that they just didn’t work at all with the scene. Instead I’ve kept it very basic and natural. I had found a bagful of old keys last month and got inspired to make some designs off them. Initially I had wanted to make them uniquely unwrapped, but I realized that it actually has great potential in a modular format. Set includes more than a dozen key head (???) variants as well as more than half a dozen blade variants.
Modelled in Blender, textures created in Substance Painter, with some help from photoshop for cavity details.
