The woman loved to brew and drink tea and the man loved gardening. As time went by.. they grew old together. They had children, and eventually grandchildren. Sadly, the man's time came earlier. After he left, grandma did not know what to do, while her deceased husband's flowers began to wither. She didn't have a green thumb, like her significant other. Grandma got a bit superstitious when suddely, a beautiful flower grew next to the shed. She believed that it was her husband, who wanders around the place, wanting to accompany her even after his death. She decided to transform the gardening shed into a worshipping house, together with her family. Grandma came to the shed daily to talk to him. After some time, more and more flowers began to bloom. This was my summer project before starting second year at DMU Game Art, although due to some module mix up, I spent about 3 weeks revisiting it on and off. The brief was to make a 10m x 10m realistic-style castaway island, using substance painter to texture. I originally planned to do a pirate-themed island and made extra props, but realised that they just didn’t work at all with the scene. Instead I’ve kept it very basic and natural.
