Years ago, a couple got a sweet piece of land and built a japanese style house. Over time, they added two smaller sheds on their property, used to practice their hobbies. The woman loved to brew and drink tea and the man loved gardening. As time went by.. they grew old together. They had children, and eventually grandchildren. Sadly, the man's time came earlier. After he left, grandma did not know what to do, while her deceased husband's flowers began to wither. She didn't have a green thumb, like her significant other. Grandma got a bit superstitious when suddely, a beautiful flower grew next to the shed. She believed that it was her husband, who wanders around the place, wanting to accompany her even after his death. She decided to transform the gardening shed into a worshipping house, together with her family. Grandma came to the shed daily to talk to him. After some time, more and more flowers began to bloom. This is my Final for Stylized Creation. We had to go from a chosen concept to a 3D model that’s game ready. Meaning we had to go through the whole workflow of making a stylized character. This involved making a blockout, sculpting the detail on that blockout. There after we had to retopo the highpoly mesh and thus make a low poly version of it. Then we had to unwrap, to eventually bake and texture the model.
My chosen design was from a talented artist called Penpen Gao on Artstation 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 82328 polygons.

This time I wanted to take my skills to the test and make an entire enviroment in a pixely PS1 style. It was quite the undertaking but I feel that it turned out quite well! I was inspired by those early 3d/2d fighting games like “King Of Fighters Neowave” and such, therefore the stage is designed to only be viewed from one restricted angle.
