This is my submission for the Airship games art jam. The theme is ‘Growth', so I went in a bit of a different direction to most, and a direction that's closer to home. I'm hoping I've done the emotion justice here. I wanted to try and capture a sense of gentleness, of a single moment of growth that is simultaneously ground-breaking but also fragile and vulnerable - the eggshell softly cracking. Process: 1 layer, 1 brush (mostly) and a lot of colour picking. This project really helped to teach me how to loosen up when painting
as well as how to choose good colours. I tried to stay as close as possible to the original concept, but I did deviate when
I found interesting shapes during the painting process and wanted to keep them. No AO bake or base, just started
really messy to capture all the hue variations and then slowly sculpted in the shapes :)

Cupboards were usually made by a local carpenter upon commission and their possession was indicative of its owner’s wealth. This furniture was used until July 1966 when it was purchased by the museum from Józef Mucha from Rudawa.
The surface of the cupboard is covered with a single colour primer – green obtained by mixing Parisian blue with bright yellow. Four little bouquets are put on profiled door panels. On the surface of the sides, on the external edges, a flower festoons motif is repeated. In the upper part of the base, a circular wreath of tiny leaves is painted.
