Fan-art from the game Final Fantasy 7!! This is the Cosmo Canyon, one of the cities that can be visited through the game. It was a comission where I was asked to made an stylized and simplified version of the place, and this is how it turned out! I decided to push the limit of Sketchfab's capabilities, and added a day-night cycle to the scene. It was a bit tricky, as lamps can't be animated, at least for now. But I think this works quite nicely. I hope you like it! :D Made with Blender 2.8, Marmoset Toolbag (baking) and Substance Painter. Music from the original game. Since YuGiOh MasterDuel was released I instantly fell back in love with the cardgame I grew up with 😍 At first it was hard to catch up with the fastpaced playstyle nowadays, but its still a blast - no better way to pay Tribute than recreating the bossmonster of the deck I’m currently using ✌
The modelling was a very good practice for situations, where the references aren’t necesserily angled perfectly. This way, you definitely have to look at your model from all different angles all the time. But the project definitely deepened my love for creating Anime-Like / NPR Models iand give them my own touch.
