In 1937, the Czechoslovak Army announced a competition for a new light tank to replace the LT 35. The Plzen Skoda has applied for participation in the competition and as its competitor — “ČKD". In the tests that took place in the spring of 1938, the tank — type identification TNHPS produced by “ČKD" won. The tank was created under the leadership of Russian engineer Alexei Surin, who found himself in Czechoslovakia after the October Revolution of 1917. In July 1938, a military order was signed for 150 tanks, the military designation of which was LT Model 38. Martin B-26 Marauder is an American twin-engined medium bomber that saw extensive service during World War II. First used in the Pacific Theater of World War II in early 1942, it was also used in the Mediterranean Theater and in Western Europe. After entering service with the United States Army aviation units, the aircraft quickly received the reputation of a “widowmaker” due to the early models’ high accident rate during takeoffs and landings. This was because the Marauder had to be flown at precise airspeeds, particularly on final runway approach or when one engine was out. A total of 5288 were produced between February 1941 and March 1945.
