The fifth of twelve experimental weapons known as Gundams, the Durandal serves as the base for future mobile suits produced by the Commonwealth Space Forces. After testing, it’s decomissioned and stored for future study at the Commonwealth Cold Storage Facility on Ceres. It later returns to active service during an assault on the Ceres facility, engaging in various battles throughout the rest of the war.
