Hypostyle hall of the Hathor shrine at the temple of Hatshepsut was the most difficult part of the photoscanning project from scientific grant “Dialog” (under directory of Jadwiga Iwaszczuk PhD, founded by National Science Centre of Poland for collaboration of IKŚiO PAN (Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures, Polish Academy of Science), PCMA UW (Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archeology, University of Warsaw) and Ministry of Antiquities of Arab Republic of Egypt.
Model was created from 5159 photos taken during a one hour of light gap per day, when the temple is covered by the shadow of the mountain in the late afternoon, but with still enough light for sharp images. This work was my contribution to retrogasm 2019, well is not on time as you can see but at least is finished, the idea was to recreate a videogame character , I picked captain commando from the 90’s great arcade machine.
The high res model was done in Zbrush, retopo in 3dcoat, texture process in Substance Painter, rigged inside Maya with Advanced Skeleton and finally rendered inside marmoset and for the high res model keyshot (overwatch tribute), some final retouch inside Photoshop.
