In the depths of the wood a child in a red hood found a mysterious pink creatures. Hi there =) This is my entry for sketchfab #StorybookChallange . Before hearding this challange I always wanted to learn hand painted or atleast wanted to make a handpainted 3d model but I could find any avaliable moment until this challange. I decided to join it. It was a really though challange at the begining you know in books everything is 2d and it was really hard to convert that things to 3d. In the end I am really happy about conclusion I learned lots of new things about animation and hand painting in this challange I am planning to make much more model like this in future =). The base idea for this scene is a task from one of VK’s Blender learning groups. But because the course itself is paid, I just used several final renders from other students as a references. So my scene is my implementation of this idea: small house in a woods, made with lowpoly technic. In my implementation it’s nowadays time, thus I added a car and electric-like lights inside. Making this project from ground zero took about 10 hours. In this project I used texture paint mode and mirroring modifier for the first time. Lowpoly modeling is a new topic for me, so I like the result I got, with using minimum of textured surfaces.
The ground texture is hand-painted mix of several good and free textures, I found all over the Pinterest.
Some of building’s textures are also come from Pinterest. The bricks are come from @scadl
