This is my first time making 3D character art, so it took long to make this model. I was never satisfied with the body and textures of the Elite, so I was constantly changing and adding things. After the Elite was finally finished, I decided out of the blue that the Elite needed a plasma rifle. Then I had to model that gun too, which also took a million years…
However, it was the most fun personal project I’ve ever done, and I learned so much from it! I will definitely be making more character art in the future.
The alien in question is a Covenant Elite Zealot or Sangheili Zealot. I’m a huge fan of Halo and I was shocked to realize I’ve never done 3D Halo stuff before. So I chose to make an HD remake of the classic Halo CE elite zealot, with some of my own changes here and there. This is a model of Verdona from Ben 10, this is my last character model for a while, Anyways this one while model wise wasn’t that complex (its just a female body lol). What was more hard was making sure the rig worked well with the cartoony face she has. I think I managed pretty well and learned both how to rig this kind of character aswell as make use of the shading node, this character is highly dependent on the use of shaders specially for the body and hair.
