A client contacted me for an alien V-streamer. I came up with several design and story ideas for them. Basic idea is that she came to earth wanting to learn more about us so she indulge in our cultures like gaming and films, so I want to create a cute, appealing and curious design. The client ended up going for a more alien than a cute alien so they shelved her. Kinda funny doing something cute last and now something so grotesque.
I have been a fan of the Alien franchise ever since I was a kid. Kinda. Initially, Alien was the reason I lost a lot of sleep as a kid, but even as a frightened child, I found certain aspects of the movie interesting. Eventually I grew up and warmed up to the movie. Now H.R. Giger (rest in peace) is one of my favorite artists.
