Joel Ferris - WCG, Games Art (BaHons) This asset was the result of a single week long art test to examine our capabilities before continuing with the scope of our final major projects. I specifically was tasked with producing a portable construction light to a finished, game ready, quality; following a ‘high-to-low' poly workflow that featured baking and PBR texturing, ready for importing into Unreal Engine. I am pleased to say I was given immediate approval and my asset featured extremely minimal critique. 28 million mesh (A7R IV) vs. 16 million mesh (D5300).
Both models have been decimated to 800k meshes.
It was a part cloudy day so i used AWB with both cameras.
Personally i’m surprised that almost double the polycount shows on minimal difference when baking 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 1617841 polygons.
