Follow the notes! This scene was inspired by the classic Beatles song, Eleanor Rigby and Silent Hills playable teaser, P.T.. I tried to mix the mystery behind that music in a game style environment to see if I could show a nice and scary ambiance. I made a small story in it, nothing fancy, but follow the notes. I simply love horror, love creating, watching and playing scary games. I used zBrush, Maya, Blender, 3D Coat, Substance Designer, Substance Painter and xNormals to create this scene. This was done over the course of 9 weeks during the CGMA course: Stylized Character Arts for Games with instructor Weston Reid! The character blockout and sculpt were done in ZBrush, retopology in Blender and CozyBlanket, baking in Marmoset Toolbag 4, texturing in Substance Painter and 3DCoat, and finally rigged and animated back in Blender! The class was challenging, but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot! I’m super excited to apply what I’ve learned in future pieces!
