My first upload, i'm also fairly new to 3D modelling. This is the Fallschirmjägergewehr 42, or FG 42. It was made for german Paratroopers as it was a very lightweight rifle. Buildings like this are usually kept shut, but the hatch on this one has been broken open and it is clearly being used for drinking etc now. It’s in a very remote location.

This model has been made in Zbrush with textures added in Substance Painter. The model is based on a find at Broughton Roman villa during a Time Team excavation. The find was very corroded as you would expect and I wondered what it might have looked like when in use. I have used images of other similar coins for reference and created this model showing how it might have looked - with perhaps a bit of wear.
