“When in doubt…blow it up!" I am very excited to share this treasure chest I made for Jordan Power's Brushforge mentorship. I created this chest over the past 8 weeks, from concept to model to textures. My goals for this project were to improve upon my concept/design skills, continue to push my texture painting and work in some animation. Inspired by World of Warcraft's Goblins and their janky, needlessly dangerous gadgets. Hello everyone,
This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing.
