Glad to share with you this work. After long interruption due to large amount of work, I back again to sculpting. At start I planned to practice in creating anatomic correct scull, but later I have decided to create a full AAA pipline work. Feel free to leave feedback. Any criticism is welcome. This huge sculpture stands in the middle of Bordeaux (France). When I walked by, I was stunned by this “half flat” sculpture, and shot it with my phone. I was realy impressed by the very realistic rendering, although most of the volume has been flattened.
Another feature worth noting : its proportions take into account the fact that the viewer is on the ground, so that the upper part of the head is much larger than it should be , to compensate for the perspective. This is a technique that has been know for a long time, (used by Michelangelo), but it’s interesting to see how it applies here.
