Illinska church in Subbotiv village (Cherkasy region, Ukraine). Has been build by order of Hetmen Bogdan Khmelnytsky in 1653 (or 1656). One-nave church in the style of early Ukrainian Baroque have clear defensive features. It became the presumable tomb of Khmelnytsky; however, the Hetman's burial has not yet been discovered. I wore this trusty glove everywhere I went for the past few months, be it in my garden, pulling and seeding new plants, or at the supermarket, when shopping for supplies.
The fabric is breathy and confortable to the touch, partially coated with a waterproof rubber coating. It may indeed allow me to handle objects more confidently, yet its greatest merit is keeping viruses away :)
Overall, I’m very happy with it, and, for what it’s worth… more than just OK!

This sculpture is the cenotaph (and empty tomb) of Francisco Moltó Valor who was the mayor of the city of Alcoy (Spain) in the year 1876 and an important businessman.

This is a wooden wheel found at Bar Hill fort along the Antonine Wall. It has eleven spokes, a nave of elm and hubs that are lined with iron.
The Antonine Wall stretched right across Scotland, from the Clyde to the Forth. Constructed around 142 AD, and occupied for only 20 years, the remains of its ramparts, steep ditches, forts and bathhouses are still visible today.

Cairn Liath is an Iron Age broch that sits proudly on a rocky knoll and commands views over a long stretch of coastline. Broch’s are substantial stone towers or roundhouses only found in the far north of Scotland. They were constructed and used between 600 BC and 100 AD.
This broch has a circular interior 10.2m in diameter and substantial walls over 5m thick; there was one entrance passage to the building. The walls survive to 3.66m high, but originally the building would have stood to a considerably height and had higher floors. A staircase to higher levels was built into the wall.
The third Duke of Sutherland ‘cleared’ this broch in 1868 and some of his finds from his antiquarian excavations are preserved in the National Museum of Scotland.
