During the capture process the object is evenly lit to avoid any drop shadows. Cross-polarization method is used to get rid of specular lights. The object is also scanned from below to capture it from every side. For my week 10 CGMA Stylized Game Assets course assignment, I designed and created a cart asset inspired by Kena: Bridge of Spirits made by Ember Lab. I made the concept for the cart in Krita, then sculpted it in Zbrush, 3D modeled it in Blender, and textured it with Substance Painter. My aim was to make sure that the asset would fit in with the game’s environment and art style.
